Visa vs Mastercard: a Stock Duel

Visa and Mastercard are the 2 companies in the most famous duopoly. But which one will win this duel?

To be clear, this is a very close one. In this duel, Visa scores slightly better with 7.6 vs 7.5 for Mastercard. But both have very great qualities:

• Visa has the higher net profit margin, is the leader in the duopoly, has a more reasonable price and is cash positive

• Mastercard is growing faster, has incredible ROIC and ROE and is more diversified (geographically and for its diversification services)

So both look nice and appear to be decent investment. So it will be a matter of taste to know if you invest in one, the other or both (or none of course!)
